The Young Writers Conference, organized by the Red Deer Public Schools, will take place this year on Saturday, May 3, at Oriole Park School, in Red Deer, Alberta. Highly creative and talented students from schools in Red Deer and the surrounding area come together for a wide variety of highly informative and entertaining workshops by local authors, writers and illustrators. I am delighted to be part of the conference once again, conducting creative writing sessions with elementary and junior high school students. This year's event once again promises to be a great success.
